Located on the beautiful Northern Aegean island of Thassos, Icon Suites proudly stands on the southern side of the island, on the sea-village of Potos. Thassos showcases crystal clear water beaches, and is rich in luscious greenery when most Greek islands’ natural landscape is predominantly rocky and barren. It is an oasis of beauty opposite the mainland city of Kavala.

Spend the day exploring the hidden treasure of Thassos. Here are a few fantastic ones to consider close to Potos: Pefkari, Psili Ammos, Astris and Stelakis beaches, while the Golden, Paradise and Alyki beaches are on the north side of the island.

Mount Athos is part of the peninsula of Chalkidiki and its peak (Agio Oros) has world-wide historical and cultural significance as a Monastic State of the Holy Mountain, and being the home of 20 monasteries.

Visit the Archeological and the ancient theatre (45 km away)
At the port, Limenas, you will find the island’s archeological museum that houses collections ranging from sculpture, potter & architectural remains from the Neolithic and Roman period. Next to the Limenas hill, you will find ancient theatre ruins, located in a natural cavity, that reinforces the natural echo effect that ancient Greek theatres feature.
